The FOX reality TV show Extracted has come to an end. The new survivalist show with a twist featured twelve contestants dropped in the wilderness fighting for $250,000. However, they had two family members in headquarters who had to help them navigate and survive. In the finale, we saw many things play out, including crowning our first-ever winner of the show. I had the pleasure of catching up with the winning family to discuss everything that went down.
Haley brought her two best friends, Karly and Natalie, to compete in season 1 of Extracted. Early on, Haley struggled to adapt to this new world and environment, while Karly and Natalie realized that there was a game to play in HQ. The duo did their best to balance friendships and alliances to get Haley the things she needed (less a sleeping bag) to keep her competitive. While the plan didn’t always work, they were always making moves.
There were many times when Haley struggled to the point we all thought she would be extracted. However, she fought her way through many empty crates or losing things to make it to that final leg of the race. Haley knew once she had gotten across that lake and unlocked the box with the word Shark, she had a leg up on winning $250,000. Karly and Natalie’s ability to pinpoint that word helped Haley get out in front and never look back.
I had the great pleasure of talking to the winning trio about their time on the show. What it was like in HQ, Haley battling to survive, and what that big win meant to her.
