Battle Camp Trey Plutnicki Interview

The world met Trey Plutnicki during season 1 of Squid Game: The Challenge. He and his mom made a name for themselves throughout the show in an attempt to win millions of dollars. Plutnicki wanted more and returned to the Netflix Reality Universe in season 1 of Battle Camp. I chatted with Plutnicki about his time on the show, some BTS details about what unfolded, and more. 

His gameplay coined him the new villain of the Netflix Reality TV World, but as we unpacked throughout our conversation, Plutnicki might be more of a misunderstood gamer vs. villain. He fought his way through each wheel spin to ensure his spot on the show. Ultimately, his demise was tied to the hands of the many players before him who didn’t like his game style. 

Our chat was incredible as we unpacked many of those big moments, what happened, and how he was adapting at every turn. From his facial expressions to being called out at the wheel to navigating being a game player among non-game players, this was an insightful look into the show and how Plutnicki approached the game.
