Haley Gosserand Talks Building The Band

Fifty singers walked into the booths with the hopes of building a band with fellow artists from across the world in the Netflix series Building the Band. Haley Gosserand performed the smash hit from Sabrina Carpenter “Feathers,” leading to her getting enough likes to make it to the next round. She went on to form Sweet Seduction with Alison and Elise, making it pretty far in the competition. I had the pleasure of catching up with Haley to talk about her time on the show, navigating the challenges as a band, and more. 

As we started to see bands form, there was room for one more band and Alison had the choice between Haley and Elise or CeCe and Mandy. Haley ended up joining Alison and Elise, forming Sweet Seduction. The band went on to sing songs like ‘I Want It That Way,’ ‘Emotions,’ and ‘Ghost.’ But as you unpack the relationship among the ladies, there was quite a bit of strife between performances. 

As a result, we saw the band struggle to balance the negative aspect and the performances all in one. That didn’t stop the band from making it to the final five, but things didn’t end rather well for Sweet Seduction. Nonetheless, Haley is ready to dive back into the music world as a solo artist. I loved talking to her about navigating the performances, working through those troubles, and how she felt watching it back. This was an incredibly insightful chat to be able to understand Haley’s side of it all.
